Here we share some of our knowledge and industry secrets with you to help you plan the perfect feast!

How Much Does Wedding Catering Cost Per Head?

Budget can be a huge deciding factor when it comes to wedding planning, so how much does wedding catering actually cost?

Our prices start at £45 per head, excluding venue hire charges. All of our catering packages include a three-course meal, the crockery, cutlery and glassware required for serving, your table linen, condiments, cake knife and stand if required and all the cooking equipment we need. Alongside this, you will receive full use of the front of house staff to serve your food, as well as a dedicated event coordinator and manager who will handle all the hard work for you.

Wedding Catering Ideas

Although all of our Milsom Weddings catering packages include a three-course, sit down meal as standard, if that doesn’t suit your style, we can always mix things up and offer a different way of doing things.

Every Milsom Weddings venue has a slightly different menu, with options for sit down meals, canapés, a wedding BBQ, evening buffet, and a whole selection of contemporary wedding street food!

But which style is right for you?

Sit Down Meal – Traditional, classic and delicious. Many classic country weddings opt for a sit down wedding breakfast in a formal setting where all your guests are table-served. Generally a top table will provide the perfect set up for the speeches.

Buffet – An evening buffet served during the evening is great for your late arrival guests, or to refuel day-guests after a turn on the dancefloor. Alternatively, we can provide a relaxed ‘serve yourself’ style buffet as your main wedding feast during the day.

BBQ – Perfect for outdoor, summer weddings, BBQs are fun, relaxed and casual. We love a BBQ for a boho style wedding.

BBQs provide the same informal charm as a buffet with the serve-yourself style of eating, allowing guests to help themselves to food as and when they fancy it, providing a more laid back and social feel to your big day.

Hog Roasts/Sharing Boards – Another ‘help yourself’ dining style but something a little more unique – hog roasts, large sharing roasts or mezze boards are real crowd-pleasers, ideal for a relaxed main meal or an evening bite.

Catering for Allergies at Weddings

Catering for guests with specific food requirements is something we can easily manage to put you at ease.

In the planning process we’ll ask you whether your guests have any allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements that we’ll need to cater for, such as gluten-free, dairy-free or vegetarian/vegan.

We have specific menus to cater for those who require a coeliac, gluten intolerant, or lactose intolerant dish, and these can simply be served alongside our other dishes for those individual guests. We also have a full vegan and vegetarian menu, priced at £52.00 a head, which is prepared carefully and served at the same time as the rest of your sit down meal.

So, whether you want your food to incorporate a formal sense of tradition, or create more of a relaxed social buzz, our catering team can craft a bespoke curated menu that suits you.
