The Hangar

Accommodating 60-180 guests, enjoy your wedding at this elegant Suffolk venue from start to finish, and savour the reality of every moment of your special day while it lasts. The Hangar holds a civil wedding licence, so there’s no need to go elsewhere for your civil ceremony!

The Mess

The Mess has a capacity of 24 guests and is our exclusive private dining room for more intimate weddings, situated just off the main reception at Milsoms Kesgrave Hall. It is an intimate and personal space, offering an air of elegance to civil ceremonies and wedding breakfasts.
With its large French windows, this delightfully light space transitions seamlessly from ceremony to wedding breakfast. Guests will enjoy welcome drinks and mingle on the upper terrace amongst beautifully manicured lawns, perfect for capturing those special moments.

We Love Weddings

Milsoms Kesgrave Hall is a 27 bedroom luxury hotel set within a stadium of woodland along a picturesque lane in Suffolk. Our dedicated and licensed wedding venue is positioned on the edge of the landscaped grounds towards the rear of the hotel with an adaptable space that perfectly accommodates all wedding parties. Your dedicated wedding coordinator will help you to plan your dream day.

Relaxed Anticipation

Many couples choose to arrive the day before their wedding to settle in, make full use of The Spa, Kesgrave Hall and unwind with treatments before your big day.  Ten of our luxury bedrooms are reserved when booking The Hangar, and we include Room 1, our best, with our compliments for the celebrating couple. Invitations to breakfast, gifts and information can be placed in the guests bedrooms, and we’ll organise room lists for a fast and easy check-in.

Your Day Is Here

Our location is set in beautiful tree-lined surroundings ensuring a great night’s sleep. On awakening you can enjoy a breakfast in bed, or perhaps a dedicated buffet breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lawns for you and your staying guests.

Let’s Get Married

Your guests have arrived and will be ready for the ceremony. All that is left is for you to descend the winding stairs in the main hotel before making your entrance. We hold two wedding licences at Milsoms Kesgrave Hall, one in the main house and one in our dedicated wedding venue. Or why not enjoy the stunning Suffolk countryside with a wedding ceremony in your own exclusive woodland area.

Dinner has been served and the tables cleared. The speeches are delivered and their notes set aside. Perhaps it’s time for a change or to take a moment to reflect on the day so far. Whatever you choose, our team will be there to assist with all that you need.

A wedding really should be a wonderful and memorable party and once your evening guests have arrived and the cake has been cut it’s time to dance, drink or perhaps take a quick dip into your evening menu.

Whether it’s the first dance or that final dedication at midnight, the acoustics and lighting at Milsoms Kesgrave Hall will make for a very special occasion and even more wonderful photographs.

What A Wonderful Day

You’ve danced ‘til midnight and perhaps stayed a little later in the bar. The morning after can be a lovely occasion to invite your closest friends and family to a private breakfast where you can swap stories and share pictures of your wedding day. There is no need to rush away and you’re welcome to join us for breakfast, brunch or lunch and beyond.

How to get here

Set in woodlands just north of the village, country house hotel Milsoms Kesgrave Hall is on the outskirts of Ipswich, in Suffolk.

Milsoms Kesgrave Hall enjoys stunning surroundings, with 38 acres of grounds including a stream which joins the River Fynn, which in turn is a tributary of the Deben.

Kesgrave Hall: Hall Road, Kesgrave, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP5 2PU.

If travelling from London, take junction 28 of the M25 onto the A12 and follow signs for Ipswich. At the junction of A12/A14, follow signs to Felixstowe (you are now on the A14 for a few miles).

Left on the A12 (signed Yarmouth/Lowestoft). Proceed over three roundabouts. At the fourth (traffic lights), turn left onto the A1214, after approx 600 yards turn right into Hall Road. Kesgrave Hall is on your left.

Leave Ipswich centre along the A1156 before joining the A1071. Continue along this road for approximately 1.5 miles before joining the A1214, signposted for Woodbridge and Lowestoft.

After 4.5 miles, turn left onto Hall Road – signposted Bealings – and continue until you reach Kesgrave Hall hotel.

If arriving by train at the Derby Street station in Ipswich, you can travel to Kesgrave Hall by either taxi or bus. If you’re taking the bus, walk south along Derby Road until you reach Rosehill Road, adjacent to which you can catch the 802 bus towards Rushmere .

Alight after 12 stops opposite Gordon Road and board the number 64 towards Saxmundham. Leave the bus after 18 stops opposite Dobbs Lane and walk to Hall Road, which will take approximately three minutes.
