Milsom Weddings

Spring is fast approaching and it is a wonderful time of year to get married as we say goodbye to Winter and welcome in the sunshine and watch nature come back to life after the chilly period.

With that being said, here are some ideas to help spruce up any wedding during this beautiful time of year and leave yourselves and your guests with some lovely memories of your big day.

Floral walls

The gorgeous blossoming flowers that Spring brings along offers a fantastic opportunity for a natural backdrop for your photoshoots. Large walls of colourful flowers and bright green moss can be constructed to give your pictures a lovely eye-catching backdrop and it really fits in with the fresh theme that Spring has.

Flower wedding ring shot

With flowers in mind, another fantastic photo opportunity is available. Placing the ring on the stem of a vibrant and bright tulip in a yellow or pink colour really makes your ring pop, whilst also driving home the fresh and bright themes of spring.

Table arrangements

You can pot your table numbers in planted succulents for a really unique table piece. Spray-painting the pots in a light pink, yellow or blue can also really help them stand out. Having a calligrapher hand write each tables number on top of this can really help your guests feel like their table has been personally set.

Brighten up your invites

Your guests will love receiving a lovely colourful invite to your wedding as it instantly gives them the impression that the day will be full if excitement, energy and fun. Adding hand-drawn or watercolour flowers helps set the mood of a spring wedding from the day they receive the invites.

Parasols for guests and bridesmaids

Giving your guests parasols offers a nice memento of your special day, as well as some optional shade from the sun. They can also be used in lovely group shots of you and your guests. Your bridesmaids will look amazing if they have parasols that match the colours of their dresses too.

Lawn games

Lawn games are a great way for your guests to let loose, have some fun and socialise during your reception. It gives them the opportunity to get amongst the spring weather and have some friendly competition. Games like lawn checkers, bowls and ring toss are some good options.

Whatever time of year you decide, we are confident you will love one of, if not all of the fantastic venues Milsom Weddings has to offer.
