Precision to planning and impeccably organised, Alex takes Milsom Weddings to the next level. With thirteen years of experience, she really does know all things weddings and will always remain calm and in control.
When she is not planning weddings and events she loves baking and singing Disney songs with her gorgeous two year old Florence.
Top tips for couples about to tie the knot
My top tip is particularly for the ladies, hold your bouquets lower in the photos, it should be at belly button height as most of the beautiful gowns have details on them above the waist. Your florist can help by cutting the stems short so you can hold it closer to your body.
Most memorable wedding moment:
One of the most unique or let’s say different ideas I have seen at a wedding is a zebra. A real life zebra strolling around during the drinks reception, mingling with the guests!
What do you love about being a wedding planner?
I believe that I have the best job, and that’s probably why I have stuck around for so long! Talking to couples about their wedding plans and putting all the pieces together for our teams to deliver on the day is just so special. We also have a great team at Le Talbooth and in particular I love working with these girls in the events office.
Keighley
Logistical queen! Keighley is our eagle eyes in the events office, with her meticulous attention to detail and dedication to exceeding expectations. With Keighley planning your wedding day you will be safe in the knowledge that every detail is being taken care of.
She is not only another member of the long servers club, but also married to Stephen Robson our head chef at The Pier, making them a seriously fierce foodie couple.
Favourite wedding trend for 2019
Foliage is the hottest trend for 2019. I love greenery, for my own wedding day I chose to have lots of foliage amongst our flowers and I think the trend will really work in Le Talbooth’s marquee to offset the white!
Top tip for couples about to tie the knot
Try not to sweat the small stuff, so many of our couples can get really stressed about the finer details closer to the wedding date. Our Milsom Wedding team will take care of everything for you on the day so just relax and get married!
What attributes do you need as a wedding coordinator?
Being able to multi-task under pressure, maintain a calm head and provide a solution to everything (I mean everything)!
Alice
She’s all smiles and spreadsheets. Alice started her events career at The Shard, London, but had a mission to organise stylish and unique weddings so joined Milsom Weddings in 2016. Whatever your wedding requirements may be, she will aim higher.
Labelled as the “creative genius” in the events office, she has a penchant for getting things done and loves to guide the Milsom couples through each stage of the planning process.
What do you love about being a wedding coordinator?
I am completely in love with my job. Every wedding I plan still gets me excited and there is nothing better than receiving those dazzling reviews after all your hard work.
What wedding tradition would you ignore?
Even if you consider yourself as a traditional couple, some wedding traditions you can ignore. The old-school rule is to have a long top table, but personally I would want a large round one, that way you can talk to all your nearest and dearest during the wedding breakfast.

Come to our wedding show – The Milsom Wedding Show was launched in 2016, and it is amazing! There’s live music, delicious canapes, inspirational workshops, pampering sessions and it gives you the opportunity to meet some of our favourite suppliers.
