The Story of Our Wedding - Danny & Kamielle Christof

Why did you choose Milsoms Kesgrave Hall? Did you have a specific place in mind from an early stage?

We had viewed 18 venues across Essex and Hertfordshire before finally seeing Kesgrave Hall in Ipswich. As we drove through the venue, I thought the grounds were lovely. We met Alice, who immediately made us feel comfortable and welcome. As soon as we stepped into the Hanger the star-lit high ceilings and romantic lighting was everything I imagined for my wedding reception. I had found my perfect venue and from there everything else fell into place.

Tell us about your dress – which designer made it? Did it take long to find? Was it exactly as you’ve always imagined? How many dresses did you try on?

I delayed trying to find my dress until I sorted all my bridesmaid and flower girl’s dresses. I thought it would be easy to find my dress as I’ve always known what I wanted to wear on my big day. Little did I know it wouldn’t be that simple. I tried on about 15 dresses. However, when I found the one, it was nothing I imagined but everything I wanted. It was the perfect dress for me. The designer was Elysee and the dress was called Zephyrine.

What did the bridesmaids wear?

Velvet black Gucci suit with Christian Louboutin shoes

What flowers did you choose?

I had a hand-tied bouquet of open white roses, other white seasonal flowers and trailing foliage for my bouquet. The bridesmaids and flower girls had bouquets of white roses.

On the day

Tell us about arriving at the reception and seeing The Hangar for the first time all set up for your wedding day?

Our entrance into the reception as Mr & Mrs. Christof was a great feeling. We danced to Lauryn Hill’s can’t take my eyes off of you, and I felt so proud that we were here; we were married and all our closest family and friends were here to celebrate with us. Once we had finally made it to the top table, I could sit down and just take in the moment and look around the room. Everything looked stunning. The wedding cake took centre stage on the dance floor, the lighting, decor and tables were perfectly arranged and decorated. The staff at Kesgrave Hall were absolute stars and helped massively bring everything together.

Did you have a theme or particular colour scheme? Why did you choose this?

I wanted the reception to have classic glam feel with white decor and romantic lighting. The venue was lovely, and I wanted the decorations to complement what was already there.
